Sonny Bono 'assassinated' by hitmen

This reminds me of Sibel Edmonds' story. More info here: Philip Giraldi: What FBI whistle-blower Sibel Edmonds found in translation. ABN

SONNY Bono, former husband and singing partner of superstar Cher, was clubbed to death by hitmen on the orders of drug and weapons dealers who feared he was going to expose them, a former FBI agent claims.

Ted Gunderson, now a private investigator, has told the US Globe tabloid that Bono, who served as mayor of Palm Springs for four years, did not die after hitting a tree on a Nevada ski slope in January 1998 as everyone believed.

"It's nonsense for anyone to now try to suggest that Bono died after crashing into a tree. There's zero evidence in this autopsy report... to show such an accident happened. Instead, there's powerful proof he was assassinated.

...Investigator Bob Fletcher had also confessed he sent evidence of a 10-year study that linked top US government officials to arms and weapons dealers to Bono less than a month before his death, the Globe reported.

"(Bono) was going to make it his No.1 priority... There's no doubt in my mind Sonny was murdered by someone who needed him silenced," Mr Fletcher told the paper.

Highly questionable conclusions

Experienced skiers have accidents quite frequently, the sport is inherently dangerous. The Tahoe Daily Tribune criticized this same claim over eight years ago, when it originally appeared in the Globe tabloid. Mary Bono, who was there that day, dismissed it. The Globe article claimed that their were cameras and a ski lodge that do not exist at the Heavenly Ski lodge. Given that there was no camera footage to base the claim, there is no information to base a claim of assassination.

Malgwyn:

Thanks for your input.

I really do not know what happened, but do find the report at least worth considering. Ted Gunderson has done some interesting work and he does have very good credentials.

We provided the link to give readers something to think about and in the hope that someone may have additional information.

Here is a link to another story about Bono that appeared yesterday. Again, I do not know what happened, but do find the info worth thinking about, especially the discussion of his autopsy report.

Congressman Bono Bumped Off??

While it's true many experienced skiers experience fatal accidents skiing on the slopes, not many die skiing 30 mph in flat areas.
Nor do they usually manage to find their way to a tree in an area surrounded by big rocks. Or manage to have no debri from the tree in their points of collision. Or get off with no broken bones. Or have injuries consistant with bludgeoning rather than collision. These are the allegations by Bob Fletcher on Coast to Coast AM last night. Fletcher claims to be the former owner of a toy company which was used for covert arms sales after his new partner turned out t o be a high ranking agent. Former FBI agent Ted Gunderson has made similar allegations. The former Mrs Bono attributed the accident to the influence of pain killers, which, according to Fletcher, was disproved by toxicology reports.

While video footage is helpful in documenting events, it is hardly necessary to establish a murder claim. We have forensics for that.

How dangerous IS skiing? The statistics for 06/07 ski season gives the fatality rate as 2.07 persons Per Million. Since that statistic includes both skiers And snowboarders, and the fatality rate is close to the same, we can say that more accurate fatality rate for skiiers is closer to 1.04 persons give or take fractions, Per Million skiers. So out of 6.4 Million skiers, 5.8 persons died skiing. Or 6 for the sake of argument. 6 out of 6.4 Million skiers. But Wait! Only 10% of fatally injured skiers are under 10 or over 50 years of age.. so that means
that the nunber of skiers who were under 10 or over 50 years of age who died in a ski accident was .06 persons out of 6.4 million skiers.
So statistically speaking, Congressman Sonny Bono was exceptionally unlucky.

By comparison, in 2005, there were 23.2 people who died per Million participants in bicycling.
Swimming in 2005: 58 deaths per Million participants.

Hm. Skiing doesn't appear to be that dangerous after all. And either Congressman Bono was stupendously unlucky, or perhaps he Was assasinated. It wouldn't be the first time That's happened.
