Even if climate change does not have human generated causes (it does) and we do something to lessen pollution anyway, the worst that will happen is we will make a few sacrifices while we clean up the earth. However, if climate change does have human generated causes and we fail to do anything, we not only will not have a cleaner earth, we will also be faced with catastrophes that might well have been prevented. Therefore, it is wiser to act now than not to act.

Romm suggests: "The solution to global warming doesn't require rationing energy or anything else. It requires a government-industry partnership to accelerate existing and near-term clean energy technologies into the market. That strategy preserves the energy abundance that has made modern civilization and sustained economic development possible."

We agree and hope that readers will take the time to peruse Romm's article, which is short and straight to the point. ABN

June 30, 2008 | Conservatives put on a spectacular display of scientific ignorance this month in the U.S. Senate. During the debate on the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act, which would regulate carbon dioxide by setting a cap on emissions and allowing emitters to trade carbon allowances, most Republican senators questioned the reality of human-caused climate change or ignored the climate threat entirely and repeated the talking point that the bill would raise gasoline and electricity prices. It was as if they had been locked in an isolation booth for the past decade. Let's go to the highlights.

I do not agree

The evidence is clear. I have posted much of it here on this site.
Global warming is either part of a natural cycle or it is being caused by the sun.
If humans are contributing it is is due to the deliberate global aerosol (chemtrail) operations being conducted by the folks that run the world.

The carbon tax and the "green" movement are all part of a psyop (remember 911?) to re engineer society. These folks have written about the new enemy that will be used to control the people. They admit that global warming, food, water and energy shortages are the new problems. These "problems" are artificially created by the folks at the top.

The goal of the psyop is scarcity consciousness and fear that leads to the human thinking that he/she is the problem so we will put up with the nightmare police state modeled on China.

Folks that are awake can see that a war against the people of the world is underway.

Eugenics and population reduction are the goals. They will brain wash folks into thinking that they are the problem and "excess population" needs to die.

The "problems" of the world are created by the PTB and the "solutions" are more taxes, gov power and loss of freedom.

If it is hard to believe do the research. Look up the club of rome, the un agenda 21, bilderberger's, cfr, rockerfeller, Rothchildes, Warburgs.

How can we believe 911 was an inside job and refuse to see the biger picture?

People are dying due to the artificial scarcity caused by these freaks and people need to wake up.

You are entitled to your opinion on global warming and everything else. I am willing to accept the possibility that what you say is true.

An uber-psyop engineered by the global elite, the creation of a hegemonic scarcity consciousness, massive depopulation projects, etc. I wouldn't be hugely surprised if it all turned out to be the case.

But your all-knowing tone is troubling. I don't think any of us can claim to KNOW for sure what the "big picture" is. To make such strong statements as you have conflating the issues of 9/11, the NWO and global warming, and then to declare that this or that has been "proved" is, in my opinion, unwise.

It hasn't been proved. We don't know.

What is the tone indicated by your use of the words troubling and unwise?
The only person that used the word "proved" is you.
Have you looked into any of the links or information I pointed to?
We don't know what happened on 911 either do we?

I apologize if i put words in your mouth or if I made a hasty characterization of your "tone."

Yes, I have looked at your links. Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if it all turned out to be true.

I believe in some sort of a shadow government, mind control, mass delusion, scams, lies, evil...

But I still don't think the information you have presented constitutes a basis for certainty about anything. I still don't think you can (or should) go around saying:

WE KNOW what's going on.
THESE ARE the assholes in charge.
THIS IS how they're doing it.

Re: what the "folks that are awake" know...I think the process of awakening consists in ascending to a brighter level of uncertainty. In asking questions and perhaps speculating. But KNOWING the exact nature of the delusion? I don't think so.

Re: 9/11...no, we have not claimed to know what happened that day. Never in any of our own commentaries have we declared, "9/11 was an inside job"; nor have we made any accusations concerning whodunnit. Our basic stance on 9/11 has always been that the official story (i.e. the 19 Arabs nonsense) is SERIOUSLY flawed and therefore we need a new - a REAL - investigation.

But, whatever else, I do agree with you that something sinister is afoot. The assholes in charge ARE assholes.
